Editorial Services for Authors

What if the book you have carried within you for years came to life this year?

Editorial support for authors writing about spirituality, self-understanding and coaching, from the first sentence to a complete manuscript. These services are offered in Hungarian, for Hungarian-language writing.

Perhaps this feels familiar

You have a manuscript you have not touched for months. When you are writing, it can be difficult to read your own work with fresh eyes: you know the intention behind a sentence, so you may see it even when it has not yet reached the page. An outside reader can often see that gap more clearly. Or perhaps you have finished an article and feel that something is still missing, but cannot quite name it.

This is not a question of talent. It is a familiar part of being close to your own writing. Sometimes you need another pair of eyes: not someone to tell you how to write, but someone who can show you what is already coming through and what has not yet reached the reader.

I'm Georgina

My work brings together two different kinds of experience. For more than a decade, I worked in HR and senior office management roles in demanding, protocol-led environments where confidentiality mattered. Precision, discretion and the coordination of complex processes became part of how I work, and I have carried that approach into my own business.

I am also the founder of Soul4you and an author who has worked through the same process in which I now support others. I have taken two manuscripts of my own through the full editorial process, from chapter outlines to submission-ready drafts. I know what it can feel like to get stuck, because I have been there myself.

These two strands meet in the same concern: bringing clarity to words and to the process behind them. Helping what matters reach the reader you intended.

Where are you with your writing?

  • My text is nearly ready. I want it to reach the reader clearly. Article editing
  • I have started a book. I am not sure whether it is moving in the right direction. Early-stage manuscript assessment
  • I have carried a book within me for years. I would like to write it. Book coaching

Article editing

When the text is written, but does not yet read as clearly as you would like

Even a strong idea can lose its impact when the writing distracts the reader. Spelling and punctuation matter, but so do sentence rhythm, flow and consistency of voice.

I work on Hungarian-language articles, blog posts and newsletters about spirituality, self-understanding and coaching. There are two levels of service, because they involve two different kinds of work.

Proofreading

  • Spelling, punctuation, slips and typing errors.
  • Consistent typography, including dashes, quotation marks and number formatting.
  • All changes marked so you can see what has been corrected.

Choose this if you are happy with the text and want a final polish. The focus is on correcting and tidying the writing you already have.

Stylistic editing

  • Everything included in proofreading.
  • Sentence rhythm and flow: identifying where the reader may stumble.
  • Consistency of voice throughout the text.
  • Structure: whether the opening draws the reader in and the ending leaves a clear impression.
  • A short written summary of points to keep in mind in your future writing.
  • One round of follow-up questions by email within 14 days of delivery.

Choose this if you would like not only to improve this particular article, but also to understand your own writing more clearly. The work stays with your text and your voice.

  • Article package: four stylistic edits for EUR 69, to use flexibly within six months.
  • Monthly plan: four articles per month on an agreed submission schedule, EUR 79 per month, for authors who publish regularly.
  • Turnaround: 5–7 working days from confirmation that I have received your text.
  • File formats: .docx or Google Docs. I cannot return marked-up corrections in a PDF.

Proofreading is the smallest service you can book. Payment is by card, and the checkout also displays the amount in your own currency.

What you can look forward to

You can send your text out without feeling that you need to read it through yet again. The reassurance is not only about the corrections: it is about seeing what you intended to say come through clearly on the page.

This may be right for you if

  • You regularly write articles, blog posts or newsletters and want a consistent standard.
  • You need a fresh view of something you have just written, before you have had time to gain distance from it.
  • You want the text to retain your voice rather than take on your editor's.

This is not the right fit if

  • You want a substantive rewrite. Editing works with your text rather than writing a different one in its place.
  • Your text is not in Hungarian. I work only in Hungarian, where I can take responsibility for the nuances of style at native-speaker level.
  • You need the work within a few hours. Careful reading takes time.

Early-stage manuscript assessment

When your book has begun, but you are not sure where it is going

There can come a point when an author loses perspective on their own book. Feeling stuck or wondering whether it is heading in the right direction does not mean a lack of talent. It may mean that an outside view would help.

This is an early-stage assessment, not an editorial report on a complete manuscript. I read the first 30–40 pages together with your synopsis to assess whether the opening establishes what the synopsis promises, and where structural difficulties may arise before you write the next two hundred pages.

The point of working in this order is time. Revising forty pages is a different task from rewriting two hundred.

What I assess

  • Whether the book's central promise is clear from the opening.
  • The structure, pace and tone of the opening section.
  • Points in the planned arc that may create structural difficulties later.
  • The intended readership suggested by the writing, and whether the text is reaching those readers.
  • How well the writing fits the form in which you want to publish it.

What you receive

  • A written editorial report of at least five pages on the opening section and planned structure.
  • Specific, chapter-by-chapter suggestions on what to strengthen, leave out or rewrite.
  • A 30-minute online conversation to discuss the report and your next steps.
  • One round of follow-up questions by email within 14 days of that conversation.

Price and turnaround

The introductory price is EUR 185 until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027, the price will be EUR 239.

The introductory price reflects the launch of this service. There is no need to decide before you are ready: if you choose to begin in 2027, the 2027 price will apply.

Turnaround is 15 working days from receipt of your manuscript extract and synopsis. The assessment focuses on the opening and the planned direction of the book.

What you can look forward to

A clearer sense of whether your book is heading in the right direction, and where it may need to change. In place of uncertainty, you will have a map of concrete next steps rather than continuing without a clear view.

This may be right for you if

  • You have begun a book and are unsure of its direction.
  • You have an older manuscript and need to decide whether to continue with it or set it aside.
  • You are preparing to approach a publisher or a self-publishing platform and would like an editorial opinion first.

This is not the right fit if

  • You want a full editorial report on a completed manuscript. That is a different scope of work, which we can discuss separately.
  • You want confirmation rather than feedback. The report will also identify what is not working.
  • You do not yet have thirty pages. Book coaching may be a better starting point.

Book coaching

Three months of support, from your chapter plan towards a manuscript

Many people carry a book or a body of teaching within them. For some, it is a manuscript in a drawer. For others, it is a persistent feeling: I need to write this.

The route from an idea to a manuscript is rarely a straight one. There are weeks when the words flow, and weeks when a single sentence seems to hold everything up.

That is why I offer book coaching. Over three months, we shape the structure together, talk about your progress every two weeks and work with ongoing editorial feedback on what you write between sessions.

One thing I do not promise is a finished manuscript at the end of three months. That also depends on how much you write along the way, which neither of us can know in advance.

What I do commit to is setting a realistic writing schedule with you in our first session and keeping the next step clear throughout our work together. You will have someone following the book as it takes shape.

What is included

  • Six individual online sessions, held every two weeks, lasting 30 minutes each.
  • Development of your chapter outline and structure together in the first sessions.
  • Ongoing editorial feedback by email on the chapters you submit between sessions.
  • A final structural read-through and written summary of your manuscript, up to 250 pages. This is structural feedback, not line-by-line language editing.
  • Email support throughout the three months, with replies within 48 hours on working days.

Price

EUR 790 for three months, or three instalments of EUR 270. The instalment option totals EUR 810, which is EUR 20 more than paying in full.

That difference is the instalment fee, stated openly rather than left as a hidden extra. Before we begin, we have a free 30-minute conversation to see whether this way of working suits your project. If I do not think it does, I will tell you.

What you can look forward to

You will not be working at your desk without support. The book that has existed in your mind will have a structure and a writing rhythm, with someone following your progress from week to week.

Even if the manuscript is not finished after three months, you will know where you are with it and what comes next. That clarity can make continuing feel different.

This may be right for you if

  • You write about spirituality, self-understanding or coaching.
  • You already have material, such as a blog, programme, notes or talks, that could become a book.
  • You have a long-held idea and would like someone to support you through the writing process.
  • You are willing to write regularly over three months, even if only a little at a time.

This is not the right fit if

  • You want someone to write the book for you. I do not offer ghostwriting.
  • You cannot currently make a few hours a week available for writing. It may be better to begin later.
  • You expect a publishing contract or publication as a guaranteed outcome. I cannot promise either.

How we work together

  1. Book a free 30-minute conversation. You tell me where you are with your writing, and I explain which service I think would suit you. If none of them is the right fit, I will say so.
  2. Receive a written proposal. It sets out the exact scope, turnaround and price. Nothing is included that we have not discussed.
  3. Send your material and arrange payment. You will receive an invoice.
  4. Receive the work by the agreed deadline. Stylistic editing, manuscript assessment and book coaching include one round of follow-up questions within 14 days of the relevant handover or discussion. For manuscript assessment, this period begins after our conversation about the report.

Your manuscript remains yours

A manuscript can feel vulnerable, particularly while it is still taking shape. These commitments are part of how I work:

  • I do not pass the material you send me to third parties in any form.
  • I do not use extracts or quotations as portfolio material, examples or content without your written permission.
  • I do not refer to your manuscript publicly, even anonymously.
  • I am happy to sign a confidentiality agreement on request. My approach to confidentiality remains the same whether or not you ask for one.

This is not a separate service. It is part of the care I bring to the work.

I spent more than a decade in environments where discretion was a requirement, not a choice. That approach has stayed with me, no longer simply as part of a job description, but as a working habit.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know you can help with my writing?

I have worked through the process as an author myself. I have taken two of my own manuscripts from a chapter outline to a submission-ready draft through a full editorial process.

I also spent a decade working in environments where accuracy in writing had practical consequences, rather than being only a matter of style. I cannot yet offer client testimonials, because this service is new. That is why I offer a free introductory conversation and the option to begin with a small piece of work.

Do you only work on spiritual topics?

This is the area I know best and where I feel I can contribute most. If you write about something else, we can discuss it; if I do not think I am the right editor for your subject, I will tell you.

Will you change my voice?

No. The purpose of editing is to help your voice come through more clearly, not to make it sound like mine. I mark all changes, and you are free to reject any suggestion. The writing remains yours.

What if I disagree with your suggestions?

That is completely fine. An editorial report offers suggestions, not a verdict.

The opportunity to ask follow-up questions is there for this reason. If you see something differently, ask me about it and I will explain the reasoning behind my suggestion. The decision is then yours.

Is it worth the cost?

That depends on what you are comparing it with. An early-stage manuscript assessment is a one-off cost that may help you avoid writing two hundred pages that later need to be reworked.

If you are unsure, begin with the smallest step. A proofreading project will give you a sense of how I work.

Why are the prices in euros?

My prices are listed in euros so that they can remain stable rather than move with exchange-rate fluctuations. You can pay with a card linked to a Hungarian forint account; the checkout also shows the amount in your own currency before you approve payment.

What language do you work in?

Hungarian only. All three service areas are for Hungarian-language writing, and the conversations are held in Hungarian.

This is a deliberate choice: Hungarian is the language in which I can take responsibility for the nuances of style at native-speaker level. If you write in another language, I am not the right editor for that work at present.

What happens if I decide I do not want to continue?

Then we stop. The instalment option for book coaching means that you do not have to commit to paying for all three months in advance.

You pay for the work already completed, not for the work that remains. We do not continue simply because we have started.

Do I need to share a particular religious or spiritual belief?

No. You are welcome to bring your own beliefs. The editorial work is about your writing, not about changing your faith, and I will not write my own worldview into your book.

If this speaks to you

You do not need to choose a service before we talk. Tell me where you are with your writing, and we can work out the next step together.
